Withdrawal of Chancellor Candidate

Members of the SIU community,
Kenneth R. Evans, president of Lamar University and a candidate for the position of chancellor of SIU Carbondale, notified us yesterday that he is withdrawing from the search. We are grateful for Dr. Evans’ interest and wish him continued success at Lamar.
We will move the search forward with the remaining finalists. Thanks to the search advisory committee for its work and to all of you who have participated in the process and provided your feedback.
