Biography of Jennifer Wagner
Jennifer Wagner serves as Senior Associate General Counsel at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. In this role Jennifer is primarily responsible for transactional matters, including the negotiation, drafting, and review of contracts for the Edwardsville campus and the SIU system. Jennifer also advises the Freedom of Information Officer and the Research Integrity Officer for the Edwardsville campus; and advises the SIU system on a variety of intellectual property matters.
Prior to joining Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Jennifer was Senior Counsel for Novus International, Inc. As Senior Counsel, Jennifer was responsible for providing legal counsel to the company on a diverse range of domestic and international legal and business issues. Her experience at Novus included complex commercial transactions, acquisitions and divestitures, regulatory compliance, risk management, intellectual property, licensing, immigration and employment, advertising law and general business matters. Jennifer was the creator and leader of Novus’s Technology committee and was responsible for managing the company’s patent and trademark estates. Also while at Novus, Jennifer implemented an electronic billing system for the company’s Legal Department and served as legal advisor on a variety of high-profile, cross-functional business teams.
Jennifer received her J.D. from St. Louis University School of Law and received a B.A. in History/Political Science from Webster University. Jennifer is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and the National Association of College and University Attorneys.
