After becoming a member of the Midwest Climate Collaborative (MCC) in 2024, OCE and MCC applied for and received a $400,000 award from Mosaic to connect Midwest communities with federal funds to advance climate action by establishing a Midwest Regional Movement Mobilization Hub. The Hub deepens and broadens expanding networks focused on implementation, emphasizing “a ground game” approach that mobilizes and coordinates authentic partnerships among nonprofits, communities, and government, and provides curated backbone capacity services and technical assistance. OCE is leading the Hub’s efforts to build capacity in the Midwest for developing and managing federal and other grant sources through provision of in-person and virtual grant training workshops.
