SIU System Partnerships
SIU Faculty Advisory Committee
The FACSS is an advisory body that serves as a collaborative channel between the faculty at SIU Carbondale (SIUC), SIU Edwardsville (SIUE), SIU School of Dental Medicine (SDM) and the SIU School of Medicine (SOM). The FACSS advises on, and monitors elements of the SIU System strategic plan that pertain to faculty. Additionally, the FACSS advises the SIU Board of Trustees and System Administrative Offices through the System president to realize the full potential of the SIU System.
SIU System Faculty Collaboration Award
The SIU System Faculty Collaboration Award is an annual award to recognize faculty for impactful collaborative endeavors between SIU System institutions (SIUE, SIUC, and their affiliated entities) in the areas of teaching; and/or scholarship and creative activities; and/or service; and/or antiracism, diversity, equity and inclusion (ADEI). This award has been created to foster continued collaborations among faculty members between SIU System institutions in support of the SIU System’s vision and mission.

SIU Student Advisory Committee
The SACSS is a student advisory body that serves as a collaborative channel between the students at SIU Carbondale (SIUC), SIU Edwardsville (SIUE), SIU School of Dental Medicine (SDM), SIU School of Pharmacy (SOP), SIU School of Medicine (SOM), and SIU Simmons Law School. The SACSS advises the SIU Board of Trustees and System Administrative Offices through the System president about student-related issues that are pertinent at the SIU System level. The SACSS serves as an avenue to discuss issues that impact the SIU campuses and beyond, share ideas and projects, find solutions to problems, and work together on issues that face students. Additionally, the SACSS coordinates possible joint endeavors that can help the citizens of central and southern Illinois.
SIU System Distinguished Student Service Award
The Student Advisory Committee selected eight students and presented each of them with a 2025 SIU Distinguished Student Service Award. The accolade recognizes, honors, and celebrates the efforts and contributions of students whose acts of service are demonstrative of excellence and exemplary commitment to the support, advancement, and achievement of fellow students, their campus, and their community.

The StACSS is a staff advisory body that serves as a collaborative channel between the staff at SIU Carbondale (SIUC), SIU Edwardsville (SIUE), SIU School of Medicine, SIU School of Dental Medicine and the SIUE East St. Louis Center. The StACSS advises the SIU Board of Trustees and System Administrative Offices through the System president about staff-related issues that are pertinent at the SIU System level. The StACSS serves as an avenue to discuss issues that impact the SIU campuses and beyond, share ideas, find solutions to problems, and work together on issues that face staff.
