Health insurance can be purchased for students and faculty for travel and study abroad programs.

You should consider protecting your investment in your study abroad program fee by purchasing Cancel For Any Reason insurance (CFAR). The Cancel For Any Reason insurance is provided and administered by Insure My Trip, not SIU. Please see the plan brochure and FAQ for a full description of the Academic Explorer plan benefits, exclusions, limitations, and time-sensitive purchase requirements.
You must purchase CFAR within 15 days of the date you make your nonrefundable program fee payment to SIU.
